Takumi Fujiwara is the son of the owner of a local tofu shop. At night, Fujiwara gets in his souped up AE86 Sprinter Trueno (AE86 Corolla GT(DOHC)) and races on the seldom-used Japanese mountain roads. One night, the Akagi Red Suns team, a racing club, challenges the Akina Speed Stars to a race on the mountain where Fujiwara lives. Keisuke, one of the leaders of the Red Suns, races his legendary Mazda RX-7 – only to be beaten by the mysterious Fujiwara.

Although I am simply a mere Harem Girl, I know a good driving anime when I see one! Excellent classic anime with great character development and best of all: Awesome races! Check this out if you are a fan of racing and are looking for an anime that will keep you on the edge of your seats!

Damn this anime makes you get in your car(or steal one if you don`t) and race with it . It just awesome , not your average driving anime that`s for sure

This is totally amazing, its great races have suspense, you`d love they keep racing forever. They use real drifting techniques and if you like the deep human relationships` stories, Takumi has a great one, watch it and guess with whom. The OST is another ingredient to make this series perfect. if you don`t like cars, probably, this makes you do it and if you do, makes you love them more.

One of the most addicitng anime ever. When you start to watch it, you just can`t stop.
