The story is about Kei, a guy who accidentally hangs out at the lake where Mizuho appears when she gets out of her spaceship. But when he thinks of it as a dream, the next day at school the woman who takes over class is the same one as the one he saw at the lake!
Utterly confused, he still thinks it`s a dream, but when she moves in as his neighbour and he helps her out, things are really getting weird and they even are forced to marry because of it. But how do you marry an alien while nobody is supposed to know about the marriage – nor the fact that the woman is both an alien and your teacher?
Not even mentioning that the teacher/alien is a gorgeous woman… and that some classmate already has her eye on Kei.

This show is waaay too overrated! I think the those who recommend and say this is a must see, might just be going with the crowd. Are we all forgetting and ignoring how much the Kei is just like a kid and can`t do anything worth while for Mizuho much!? From time to time, the show has good parts, but that happens less than the time Kei and Mizuho has for each other on-screen. At least I think so, but this main character is almost like a lead harem by how he can`t do shit! Anyways, I give this Anime a 6.8/10

I would just say that if you plan on watching this, don`t get your hopes up.
It was a while ago since I saw this but it wasn`t all that great.

if you like romantic movies, you will love Onegai Teacher.

Amongst some of the best anime of the past decade. Slow at start and and full of cliche but grows its own unique story and shows some very nice character development as well as touching some taboo themes.

Suggests a relationship involving a teacher and their student, often times sexual in nature.

This anime holds a special meaning to me coz it was the first anime i saw with the knowledge that i was watching ANIME, i would not go as far as calling it a master piece but this is truly worth the time you spend watching it, i loved it the first time i saw it and i still do , even after watching thousands of other animes after this one, u will not regret it 🙂

A master-piece of anime-arts…

After watching this show 3 times, I stil get a warm feeling when thinking about it. Very enjoyable story with developing relations between characters all told without losing your interest. The show doens`t focus on one particular thing, it will make you laugh, wipe a tear or warm your heart. I post this for the ones who think Ano Natsu de Matteru was great, and haven`t seen this one. You really need to watch the “Original”.
