http://anidb.net/ch17524 [Kyousuke Kousaka], a normal seventeen-year-old high school student, hasn`t gotten along with his younger sister, http://anidb.net/ch17525 [Kirino], in years. For longer than he can remember, Kirino has ignored his comings and goings and looked at him with spurning eyes. It seemed as if the relationship between Kyousuke and his sister, now fourteen, would continue this way forever.
One day, however, Kyousuke finds a DVD case of a magical girl anime entitled Hoshikuzu Witch Meruru (Stardust Witch Meruru), which had fallen into the entranceway of his house. To Kyousuke`s surprise, inside the case is a hidden adult video game titled Imouto to Koishiyo! (Love with Little Sister!). Kyousuke attempts to fish out the culprit who dropped the case by bringing up the topic of magical girl anime at the family dinner table. All that comes out is a strong negative reaction from his parents, especially his anti-otaku policeman father.
That night, Kirino bursts into Kyousuke`s room and, in perhaps the first conversation she has initiated with him in years, says they have things to talk about. Kirino brings Kyousuke to her room and shows him an extensive collection of moe anime and lolicon bishoujo games she has been collecting in secret.

For all the Oni-Cans, Bishoujo Gamers, and Otaku`s everywhere ;). Very entertaining anime; easily enjoyable, and fun to watch 🙂

For fans of comedy. You may or may not like this depending entirely on your views on the central character Kirino.

After finishing this I`m still not sure whether I like it. The premise is pretty interesting, and most of the characters along with it.

But, as others have said, whether you like Kirino can really affect how much you enjoy the series. Personally I find her rather annoying and doesn`t live up to her character`s ultra-popular, straight-As, track star and part time model roles.

Thankfully the other quirky and interesting characters in the show help balance things out.

This first season of Ore no Imôto was quite good. The theme was quite ambigous but in the end it was well handled. My only regret is that Kirino is way too mean and I have a hard time to understand how her brother can be that kind. Specifically when she is mean with Minami who is very kind to everyone. Well, Kirino is quite lucky to have such goods freinds and wonderfull brother.

Ore no Imouto is pretty quirky yet enjoyable anime. Interesting characters, hilarious scenes and an overall fun watch.

The first time I watched this I didn`t understand lots of what seemed humorous, the character designs and the pacing were great though so I watched it all. Upon rewatching almost 2 years later I now understand anime, manga, visual novels(eroge), Akihabara, doujins, figurines, fujoshi, dakimakura and much more; which makes this anime so much more enjoyable. Looking forward to the sequel, desperately hoping for the PSP game translation some day. 8/10 recommended.

Just turn off all your senses and enjoy the show for what it is.

I did and I had a blast. Don`t go here looking for great story or characters. Just enjoy the countless implausible scenarios and remember that its just an anime.

Entertaining (if thoroughly ridiculous) premise, characters that are enjoyable parodies of anime archetypes, attractive visual and audio design, all wrapped up in a show that starts and ends strong, but, admittedly, sags a bit towards the middle.

Odd, original, and a bunch of other adjectives as well. It was a lot better then I imagined and not as overly otaku as I feared,.. making it a good watch. Try it out yourself.

definitely entertaining anime that is not ecchi but has loads of moe!

It`s just that good. Of everything I`ve seen so far this is unrivaled the greatest series yet. It`s simple, yet the complexity in the train of thought in the characters makes up for that balance. Ecchi to say the least. I can really emphatize with the big brother and love how the difficult moments is described/animated.

It`s hard to say “for everyone” but “for most” this is a really good choice to watch.

A dependable and strong main character, no excessive fanservice and lots of moe. I became incredibly attached to this one, and all its lovable characters.
