The story takes place after an abominable war that foisted a “Devil Contract” upon a land. Cecily Cambell, a former noble`s daughter who joined a knighthood, encounters a man who dispatches some hoodlums with one sweep of a mysterious sword. The man possesses the power of the same “Devil Contract” that has become taboo, now that peace has been restored. Cecily has been searching for a blacksmith who can repair an old sword she inherited from her father, and that mysterious young man happens to be blacksmith named Luke. This encounter launches their adventures together.

This is one good anime. After The Scrapped Princess series, this is another anime that I find quite amusing. With swordsmanship + sorcery and all. This is a “MUST” watch for those who like adventure kind of story.
Great for fans that enjoy the fantasy world of fighting monsters with swords , magic and a little bit of Heroism.
I don`t know why the ratings on this anime are so low. It was a very enjoyable anime, with an intelligent plot, likable characters, reasonable animation quality, and just enough fan service to balance it all out. My only complaint is that as someone else said its final episode actually feels like the 12th episode of a 24-episode anime.
This definitely isn`t anywhere near as bad as it`s rating makes it out to be. While the ending feels more like the twelfth episode in a 26 episode series, it isn`t exactly terrible either. It`s definitely worth a watch.
Light and enjoyable series. Nothing less but also nothing more.
